ABOUT US
ARISTA Tutors was founded by a teacher, attorney (J.D., UCLA) and law professor who
observed and participated firsthand in the importance of one on one instruction with a
student. We know we possess a unique advantage in the educational field and will provide
effective tutors to aid in the student's path to excellence.
OUR GOAL
Students have unique capabilities, unique understanding and unique motivation and the best
way to celebrate that individualism and instill confidence so that the student may excel
in learning is through individualized tutoring. We believe that excellence in learning
comes from being proactive to a student's academic career, not reactive. As such, solid
tutoring is an essential supplement from an early age to set the student up for
educational success throughout his or her schooling. WHAT IS THE BACKGROUND OF AN ARISTA TUTOR?
All ARISTA tutors are credentialed teachers, former teachers or professors, substitute
teachers, or professionals with tutoring experience. All of our tutors have at a minimum a
bachelor's degree and many have graduate degrees as well. We provide academic tutors in
all academic subjects from K-12th grade. We also tutor for many college courses and law
classes. We also provide tutors for standardized testing such as the SAT, ACT, LSAT and
many others.
Still other tutors are sports instructors with coaching or college athlete experience.
Sports instructors are great for students in the off season or for students who are trying
to make a team and desire extra one on one skill work. Other tutors are bilingual and
provide English lessons, Spanish lessons or a variety of other language lessons. We also
have tutors who help with academic management, study skills, college application essay
writing and editing term papers.
WHERE DOES THE TUTORING OCCUR?
Tutors can work with the student in home for one on one tutoring. Another adult of at
least 21 years of age must be present or the tutor is not eligible to tutor the student at
that time. Students over 16 years old may meet with tutors at a local library, community
center or coffee shop with express parental written permission.
HOW OFTEN DOES TUTORING OCCUR?
Once you and your ARISTA tutor meet, you will determine your schedule at your convenience.
There is no required number of tutoring hours and we do not require contracts. Tutors are
available year-round, seven days a week for morning, afternoon and evening sessions.
ARISTA tutors are flexible so that you can enjoy your important activities while still
fitting in the tutoring sessions as needed.
WHAT IS ONLINE TUTORING?
