IS AN ARISTA TUTOR? ARISTA Tutors is looking for tutors. Qualified applicants are energetic, positive, reliable and motivate the students. Because students learn differently, tutors must be patient, approachable, adaptable and convey a general love of learning. In addition, tutors must be available to work long-term with a six month minimum commitment. WHAT EDUCATION EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED OF AN ARISTA TUTOR OR SPORTS INSTRUCTOR? ARISTA Tutors must have a Bachelor's Degree and prior tutoring experience for consideration for Arista tutoring, proofreading and test-taking prep positions. A minimum 3.0 GPA is required. ARISTA Sports Instructors must either have: 1) Bachelor's Degree and college sports or coaching experience; or 2) current membership on college sports team in pursuit of college degree or current coach. We are also looking for credentialed teachers, professional who specialize in learning disabilities and special education, music instructors, proofreaders, and tutors who specialize in standardized test preparation. ARISTA Tutors is also looking for tutors for the California First Year Law Student's Exam and for the California Bar Exam (accredited law degree from top university and California bar passage on first or second try required). WHAT SUBJECT MATTER WILL THE ARISTA TUTOR TEACH? ARISTA Tutors will work with students in their area of expertise and experience and other areas as deemed qualified. Additionally, some students need homework help in general areas; other students need help with study and organizational skills. Other students may require special music or sports instruction. Student needs will be clearly understood before a tutor is offered an assignment. WHERE AND WHEN WILL THE ARISTA TUTOR WORK? ARISTA Tutors work only in their desired areas and the work is part-time with hours depending on individual client needs and tutor availability. It is the tutor's absolute discretion to accept an assignment. Tutoring sessions can be scheduled between 9 am and 8 pm, seven days a week depending on client/tutor schedules. Tutoring can take place in home, in a local library or community center or at a coffee shop (ages 16 year and above only, subject to express written parent approval if under 18). Additionally, online tutoring is available (headphones and high speed internet connection required). HOW DO I BECOME AN ARISTA TUTOR?
